Yolanda Beasley

A former advertising executive, Yolanda knows a thing or two about what makes people tick and what sells.  She obtained a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Western Ontario in business  then went on to study screenwriting at Ryerson University and U.C.L.A..

An avid fan of romantic comedies and relationship dramas, this is her power genre.  In addition to having written professionally for television, radio and the Internet, she has had several articles published in major newspapers.

After producing a crowd-pleasing one-act play at the Toronto Fringe Festival, Yolanda left the security of her advertising career to pursue writing full-time.  Since then, Yolanda has written several scripts, produced a short film, had both of her original television series garner serious interest from a Toronto producer, landed a top Toronto agent, and was invited to teach writing for television at the Impatient Theatre Company.

Yolanda Beasley is currently represented by Carl Liberman at Characters Literary Agency.
